This is Protek Corporation's ("Protek") privacy policy. This document explains Protek's (including its Protek Systems division) policies for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
Protek provides various computer systems and technology related services for its customers.
The Information We Collect
Protek may collect limited amounts of information on individuals dealing with Protek such as customers, prospective customers or their representatives or job applicants.
Protek collects such information by various methods including information actively provided by the individual, and information captured through its web site, including by cookies.
The types of personal information we collect include name, contact information, identification information, and credit information.
How We Use This Information
This information is used for internal purposes including customer service, accounting, billing, collections, and marketing. Protek may use aggregate or anonymous information which will not be linked to identified individuals for various other uses for itself and third parties.
During the supply of services to its customers, Protek may have occasion to see personal information of third parties that resides on its customer's systems. Protek does not make any use of such information other than as necessary to provide its services to its customer.
Who We Share This Information With
Protek does not share personal information with any third parties except as disclosed in this policy. Protek may provide personal information to Protek's consultants, subcontractors and professional advisers (which shall be bound by privacy obligations) to assist Protek's uses disclosed herein.
Security
Personal information is protected by security measures appropriate to the nature of the information.
Accessing Information
Individuals may review their personal information contained in Protek files by contacting the Protek privacy officer. Any individual believing that Protek may have information about them that originated from a Protek customer must contact the Protek customer. If an individual believes that any of their personal information is inaccurate, we will make appropriate corrections.
General
Protek may amend this policy from time to time. If such amendments affect how Protek uses or discloses personal information already held by Protek in a material way, Protek will obtain consent.
Notwithstanding the general terms of this policy, the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information may be made outside of the terms herein to the extent provided for in any applicable privacy or other legislation in effect from time to time.
Protek may disclose personal information to another entity purchasing the assets of Protek, provided that entity abides by this or a similar privacy policy.
